The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme read more [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The services point created for intervention experiences a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
